Miss New York Teen Volunteer

Eliza (Ellie) Leszczynski

Meet Ellie.

National Honors Society president, cheer captain, 4.0 student and class president, Ellie Leszczynski is Miss New York Teen Volunteer.

Hailing from Schenectady, Ellie makes waves in her community. A social media superstar, her 50 day series leading up to Miss Teen Volunteer America offered valuable and entertaining insight into the daily life of a state titleholder who does it all. After she graduates from Schalmont High School, Ellie hopes to major in pre-dental biology, and eventually become a pediatric dentist. While in college, she plans to cheer on her collegiate team.

Fight for Sight

In Ellie's words: "My younger brother was diagnosed with amblyopia at 18 months old, and my great-grandmother became legally blind as a teen because her family could not afford eyecare. My family was fortunate enough to afford treatment for my brother, and I saw firsthand how receiving eye care can change someone’s life. I have made it my mission to raise awareness and ensure as many people as possible receive the eye care they need to see our beautiful world." Ellie has raised $30,000 for the OneSight Organization and has donated over 40,000 pairs of used glasses.
